Men’s Day of Prayer & Fasting
November 17 @ 6:00 pm - 8:00 pm
Before the Advent season begins, we’re setting aside a day focused on drawing near to God through fasting and prayer – seeking His presence, His wisdom, and His strength together as men. The day will be dedicated to realigning our hearts with the Lord and preparing for the season of Advent. Throughout the day, we’ll invite men to fast and pray however and wherever they are – at home, work, or traveling. That evening, we’ll come together at the church to break the fast, worship, and share in fellowship. We hope it will be a restful and yet meaningful evening as we prepare to lead our families and church into the season ahead.
What is fasting?
Fasting is a spiritual discipline that helps us draw close to the Lord and experience growth in our faith. It focuses our attention on God and reminds us that He alone sustains us and meets our needs. Throughout biblical history, fasting usually involved abstaining from food (or specific items) for a certain period of time. Whether fasting is done for a few hours, a day, or several weeks, this discipline creates time and space for the Lord to nourish our souls. It’s an opportunity to quiet our hearts and minds as we step away from the distraction of activity and the noise of our culture. It’s a time to pray, surrender, and be strengthened as we purposefully ask the Holy Spirit to move in our lives and make us more like Jesus.

Even if you cannot join us in the evening for the event, we invite you to pray and fast where you are. If you can attend, please register below so we can anticipate how much food we will need.
