New Study Series: “Revelation--Christ Our Treasure”
Starting January 8--We just finished celebrating Christ’s first coming (Christmas). For the next six weeks we will walk through texts in Revelation, texts that motivate us to worship Christ our Savior and give us direction as we look forward to His second coming.

MBCC Young Professionals

Who We Are

We are a group of single young adults in Birmingham, AL seeking to follow Christ with our whole hearts. Our goal is to grow in Christ as we seek to love God and love others. Mostly in our 20s and early 30s, we focus on what it means to follow Christ and serve his church as we forge into our careers and life circumstances.

 What We Do

MBCC Young Professionals is a great place to plug into the life of our church, to become a vital part of the church community. We are building a network of small groups that meet throughout the week. These growth groups also gather all together on Sunday morning for Community Group in room G-202. We also prioritize active involvement in Christ’s local and global mission. And, we like to just have fun together through meals, parties, trips, retreats, etc.

 * How to Plug In *

Growth Groups--Our network of growth groups (small group Bible studies, 6-8 people) is at the core of what God is doing in this area of our church. We have a number of new growth groups that will meet during the spring, starting after New Year's--both guys and girls. These groups will meet regularly to engage God’s word, pray together, and serve together. New groups are forming now. For more info, email youngprofessionals@mbcc.us or call Marcus Busenitz at 802-7070.

Sunday morning Community Group--the Young Professionals meet every Sunday at 9:45AM in room G-202 (gym building 2nd floor) to study and engage Scripture together. A great way to connect with the ministry of the church, get practical Biblical discussion, and get to know other single young adults who are serious about following Christ.

Reach Out--Become the hands and feet of Jesus by serving others.
-Locally, we have a number of opportunities to serve. The goal is to develop lasting relationships to help further the Kingdom of God as we build bridges through which we can share the gospel. Our primary focus locally is on the Fairfield Community Garden, a project started by our Young Professionals group. Click here for more information.

-Globally, we work with MBCC global mission partners to help carry the gospel to locations around the world. We do this by participating in short-term mission trips, praying for our mission partners, and completing various projects to encourage and support the global partners. Things in the works: 2012 Short-term mission trips.
