Our trekkers are engaged through music, drama, and small group discussions to further their understanding of the Bible lesson for the day. For locations and time, please see Important Information in the side panel.
4K/5K Kids' Worship uses the Kids' Own Worship curriculum from Faithweaver. (See below in Discipleship Hour for Scope and Sequence) Their morning consist of a storyteller, music, games, and crafts.
1st - 5th Grade Kids' Worship uses curriculum from 252 Basics which focuses on a different virtue every month while giving the kids Biblical and practical examples of how God wants that virtue to apply in their own lives. This time also features "Trekker Groups" which is a small group setting where Trekkers are encouraged to memorize the verse of the month as well as discuss that Bible story for the day.
Trekker Assignment is given to each child (Trekker) in order to help them get into God's word with their parents. Each Trekker is also given a Assignment Log, where they can keep up with the assignments they do on a weekly basis. If the Trekker completes the minimum number of assignments he/she receives an award at the end of the Fall and Spring semesters.
During this time our trekkers explore God’s Word as the compass for their life's journey. Utilizing FaithWeaver curriculum, kids participate in memorable and interactive Bible lessons which intentionally engage a variety of learning styles. To help students understand the Old Testament as a whole, learners explore it chronologically during the summer and fall quarters. Winter and spring quarter FaithWeaver lessons focus on the New Testament. For classroom locations and times see Important Information on the side panel.
